And "ShowBusiness" is a great documentary. It really gives you a sense of what it takes to bring a show to Broadway, of the passion on the part of the artists, the fans, and even the critics.Estherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16076517542540421210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1912669500934497251.post-24089459347363594722007-10-19T20:31:00.000-04:002007-10-19T20:31:00.000-04:00And if you haven't seen the PBS series "Broadway: ...And if you haven't seen the PBS series "Broadway: The American Musical," you should certainly check it out!Estherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16076517542540421210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1912669500934497251.post-10877054142882093242007-10-19T20:30:00.000-04:002007-10-19T20:30:00.000-04:00Thanks for the comment Emily! In July, I saw seven shows in five days, and if I'd had more time, there were at least another half-dozen I wanted to see. It is kind of cool to think that 8 p.m. all of those theaters are filled with people listening to those very different stories. And I bet ShowBusiness looked great on the big screen!Estherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16076517542540421210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1912669500934497251.post-31701434171992987012007-10-19T16:12:00.000-04:002007-10-19T16:12:00.000-04:00Esther, I will forever be flummoxed by Wicked's lo...Esther, I will forever be flummoxed by Wicked's loss to Avenue Q. While the latter offers plenty of sharp wit, it's not for the ages in the longlasting way Wicked is.

Glad you enjoyed and got so much out of this great documentary. It's still in my DVD player!Steve On Broadway (SOB)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04353077627991682499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1912669500934497251.post-6882604199232561412007-10-19T11:46:00.000-04:002007-10-19T11:46:00.000-04:00I loved ShowBusiness and was lucky enough to see i...I loved ShowBusiness and was lucky enough to see it on the big screen.
