What mazel!On Sunday, I saw a classic example of Jerome Robbins' choreography in Fiddler on the Roof and now he's the subject of a documentary on PBS airing Wednesday as part of the American Masters series. It's also being released on DVD on March 31.
Jerome Robbins: Something to Dance About is narrated by Ron Rifkin (Uncle Saul on ABC's Brothers and Sisters).
"I think most Broadway choreographers would tell you they owe a debt to Robbins," says producer/director Judy Kinberg. "He was instrumental in elevating the musical to an American art form."
