Spring Awakening at the Tonys

I mentioned a couple days ago how much I loved seeing Spring Awakening on Broadway with its original cast. Here's their performance at the 2007 Tony Awards, modified a little bit for television:

Thanks for posting that! As you know I saw this show with the touring cast last week and I'm glad to have a chance to see the orginal cast here. I agree that the Actress who played Wendla orginally has a much stronger voice. It was hard to tell with Melchior and Moritz, however, since their solo parts were much smaller in this clip. I'm so glad you posted this! Makes me want to play the soundtrack - yet again!

Hi again. I left you an award on my blog today. I have no idea if you are into this kind of thing or not, but I wanted to honor you. If this is not your cup of tea, no problem. Just ignore it!

Thanks for the award, I will check it out!

There are some other clips on YouTube of the original cast but this was one of the shorter ones, plus it's a medley. And I've been playing the cd, too!

Thanks for posting this! Just those quick 3.5 minutes had me bopping in my seat at the computer! Made me realize how much I enjoyed the tour in PVD. I didn't buy the soundtrack after the show last week but I'm going to order it on Amazon now!
